ITDavid would like to apologise for being negative Page 2

Thank first and foremost for being so understanding for what Dawn has entitled my 'black tuesday'.

Yes I have aplogised to Dawn. We have just this minute polished off a Cod and Chips each which I purchased as a piece offering and, as she will not read this, I might as well disclose that I am planning to buy a couple of thimbles to add to her collection.

Jim, I am slightly dissapointed that it appears you did not heed my advice on purchasing your 'mac', in principle I'd never purchase a computer over the internet as it encourages the bigger companies to overcharge and it is also vital that in this financial climate we support our local businesses.

No, they were merely the links to the Macs that I bought; I bought them, in person, from the official Mac store. But, you know what? Thanks for preaching to me, especially when I'm personally responsible for pumping nearly 10K into the economy on a single shop.

Glad to hear it. I have a feeling I may have worked with Dawn in a charity shop. Apart from the thimbles does she like marching band music and anything to do with owls (or was it frogs?)? You know, ornaments, knitted jumpers, headscarves, that sort of thing.

Ban him.

Why Scotti?

Was it you who David swapped his lunch hour with or did you end up having to make Dawn's pasta?

I'm still really worried about the pasta. Huh?

If he was supposed to be making it from scratch, then yes I'm concerned. If it was just dried pasta that needed dropping in some boiling water it's not really a good cause of a domestic.

Cripes! A lot of posts to respond to.

Although I intend to forget about yesterday forever, I will put Big fella's slightly baffling worries re my pasta to bed, and say that the pasta was dried and I am ashamed to say that I refused to boil it in a pan while Dawn went for a shower instead I pigheadedly insisted on watching The One Show.

With respect Jim my point was you should be supporting local businesses. This would be more beneficial to the economy as methinks helping to prevent local businesses from going bankrupt makes far more sense than supporting multinational corporations.Such a purchase is also likely to save you some 'dollar' and if you so wished you could even donate the difference to a charity, as there are many charites that could benefit from even a small amount of money, particularly at this time of year.

If I were you I would go about enquiring if you could return the mac then purchase one from your local computer store who I am sure will be more grateful for your business.

You're kind of like Angelo of Shooting stars, only in IT instead of burger vans.

Utter garbage. My charitable contributions DOMINATE; I give to three per month at £20 a time. I was signed up by a young student (decent looking, but no booty to seal the deal) only last week; I might cancel that one.

Laughing out loud

Why not just post a breakdown of your annual financial outgoings, Jim, then everyone can read them in awe and wonder at their leisure? ;)

Jim your attitude is not in the least bit appreciated.

1. the fact you boast about your pocketful of crispy ones highlights a weakness of character.

2. in my experience female charity workers are kind hearted innocents and the girl in question would be appalled to know she has featured in your carnal fantasies.

The temptation is to use my comedic ability to reply to your posts with a scathing put down however my Christian nature has prevented me from doing so.

IT David, I must say that this Thread is becoming more and more negative by the day.

You have Mr Field to thank for that.

Errr

I shall keep it duly noted.

1. I'm not boasting, just keeping it real.
2. She was no 'innocent', I'll tell you that.

ITDavid, you know what? Just take a step back.
