COMEDY WRITERS WANTED!
Big Bold Comedy! (BBC geddit?)
We are looking for comedy writers to assist in making BBC Comedy actually funny (like what it used to be). This is a unique opportunity to collaborate with other comedy writers looking to pad their portfolios, egos and earn respect from their fellows. Imagine; you can proudly say, "I didn't get just a stereotyped reject slip - I got actual feedback!"
If you have prior experience as a comedy writer for the BBC please do not apply.
We are looking for comedy writers with a fresh perspective, if you can write hilarious jokes, if you are looking for a place to test new material, we want you to write for us. If you have one idea a year - no problem - your one idea (copyright our script editor(s) could be the next 'Only Fools and Horses'. We want people who love to write, and are really hungry for recognition.
We receive about 10,000 scripts a year, and all eligible scripts are logged and assessed. If the opening ten pages hook our attention, your script will be read fully and you will receive BJF (Big Juicy Feedback!).
If you've never written comedy before, don't worry, many of those we've commissioned still haven't, so you won't be alone! So come on guys and gals, send your scripts to:
BBC Writersroom
