Clown Chowder: new stand-up comedy gig Page 13

I should add that I'm only going to be shooting the setups to jokes, so if you want to know how they turn out you'll have to show up to the live show.

I'll post a vid of me listening to the punchline. But you'll have to pay to here me laughing.

If I'd have found out earlier than 5 o'clock that my new job was being pushed back a day, I would have popped along.

I didn't make it either. :(

What's your excuse, Stott? Did it clash with one of your swingers parties?

I was on my way there on the tube, then I had to get off so my girlfriend could throw up into a bin. She wasn't keen on carrying on to the gig after that.

Puh, chicks.

You mean... you accompanied her home?! You didn't just say "Don't wait up for me, toots" and then carry on your way to the gig?!

You're way to kind to that chick - you gotta kick that to the curb.

The gig went really well despite your best efforts, every single person who uses this forum and purports to be my friend. We filled the room despite the sunshine/football, everyone delivered and Alice Lowe and Antony Elvin took the roof off as 'Hot Brew'. I now have a semi-grated parsnip in my fridge as a memento of their set - a parsnip that Antony ground into Alice's cheese grater guarded crotch with none-too-subtle hip gyrations. This parsnip will soon be photographed and put on eBay, starting bid, £5.

Next Clown Chowder on Tuesday 27th July. On this bowel-loosening bill:

Papa CJ (NBC's Last Comic Standing)
Alan Baldwin (perspiring comedian)
Steve Aruni and Henry (the singing, sax playing hoover)
Lee Kern (Big Brother's Little Brother, Modern Toss)
Matt T Haydock (dog poet)
Nick Ewans (TV veteran and comedy improviser)

And your host with the moist, David Bussell.

All this for the frankly ludicrous sum of £5!

We're batting against Edinburgh tomorrow so we could really use your help to fill out the audience. We've got some top acts on and as a special incentive we're going to be letting in BCGers for the special price of £3.

Ultra Sauce!

Where is it nowadays?

We're at The Old Queens Head, Islington, London N1 8LN starting at 7:30.

Oh yeah, miles away. Bring it West I say!

I will come one day... stupid moving house.

Oh wow! Nick Ewans is on!
