A CUSTOMER APPROACHES AN FRUIT STALL.
CUSTOMER
How much are your apples?
TRADER
There on a special, 20p each. Or 4 for a £1.
CUSTOMER
What about your oranges?
TRADER
There on a special, 30p each. Or 3 for a £1.
PAUSE.
CUSTOMER
I'll take 3 of your oranges.
THE TRADER PUTS 2 IN A BAG.
TRADER
That's £1
CUSTOMER
That's only 2 you put in the bag
TRADER
I'm sorry sir. (PUTS ANOTHER ORANGE IN THE BAG)It's the old age. Its slowing me down.
THE CUSTOMER HAND'S OVER A £10 NOTE. THE TRADER TAKES OUT TAKES OUT TWO £1 COINS FROM HIS CASH BOX AND GIVES IT THE CUSTOMER.
TRADER (CONT'D)
That's your change sir.
CUSTOMER
Wait a minute. That's not right.
TRADER
I've given you too much change. Eh? (THE SHOPLEEPER TAKES A POUND BACK)
If I keep this up I'll be out of business.
