Frisky and Mannish

Has anybody else heard of/ seen/ loved/ lost/ wondered about/ fell in love to/ had babies to/ cried at/ fell over the wonderful talents of the sensational Frisky and Mannish?

I saw them at Manchester Pride 2009 and have been watching them on YouTube and on their website ever since.

They've played Edinburgh Fringe. They do original takes on pop songs, such as Girls Alouds Sound Of The Underground, replacing the words with nursery rhymes and the chorus to The Wheels On The Bus Go Round.

They are amazing. Look them up.

Genius

Oh my....word....

SOMEBODY must have heard of them???????

Anyone?????!!!!!

Just lie and say yes!

I was going to see them at the Edinburgh Fringe this year but when we got there it was cancelled because Frisky had a throat infection. My friends had seen them the week before and said it was the best show they had seen at the Fringe though.

I heard they were excellent. I saw them at Manchester Pride 2009 and they were the funniest thing ever. I was working 12 hour shifts all weekend and they were a light relief from it all :)

Lmao

Well replace beer with bear. actually add the 2 together and mix with a splatter of Drag queens, Gays, Lesbians, Bisexuals(they don't exist its just an excuse) transgenders etc etc throw in every pub in Manchesters Gay Village, turn the car park into what is called The Main stage and invite musical wonders such as Bananarama, The Human League, Peter Andre (yawn), Little Boots etc etc etc etc to perform their 'hits' and you have Manchester Pride.

Oh and throw in me who worked the whole bloody thing friday to monday on 12 hour shifts :(

My only pleasure(apart from the beer, vodka and shots - and sometimes BEFORE WORK! :O THEN Sick ) was seeing, almost by accident Frisky and Mannish.

Saw them twice in the last two weeks. Once at Bush Hall presents.. and then on Monday night at the Lyric for A Frisky and Mannish Christmas, along with Angelos Epithemiou, The Pupinni Sisters and a few others. The whole night was outstanding and they are without a doubt my favourite act at the moment.

I saw them on a comedy show on a boat on the Thames on the 9th January, was brilliant along with a couple of other acts and a bloke called Michael Leg. Managed to get so drunk that my m8 made us miss the last tube, DOH!

They've been nominated and recommended on another website a lot recently *cough* Chortle *cough*. Maybe ones to watch.

Michael Legge.

Never seen Frisky and Mannish live but have heard a lot about them (mostly up in Edinburgh and they've now been nominated for a Chortle award), having just watched some of their stuff on YouTube though I'm assuming that it lacks something that must make them a great live act, as it just seems fairly generic replace-the-words-of-a-song-with-other-words musical comedy, very well done but not, to me anyway, particularly funny.

They do alot of acting on stage as well, there is one song called Stalker were they have mixed songs together to tell the story of stalking. Frisky does alot of facial expessions and a few other bits, some of it's quite subtle so it can be easily missed.

Just got back from seeing these guys at the Shepherds Bush Empire - really an excellent show! Managed to convert a friend who had never seen them before as well, and the two hours absolutely flew by!
