The man should beware
I spoke to 'The Man' earlier (I was attempting to complain to a call centre) and he's shitting himself.
Do we think 'The Man' is Indian, then? We will find him, even if we have to search all four corners of the Earth.
Quote: Nogget @ November 16 2009, 5:33 PM GMTI've been invited to a book-launch, but having never been to one, I don't know what to expect. My only experience is from fictionalised accounts, which usually involve wine and nibbles, and egotistical authors being derisive toward one another. While I'm not a writer, my ladyfriend is, so presumably she has the opportunity to meet other people in the industry? Or somefink?
I can't be bothered to read the thread. But, yeah, I've been to a bunch of these - and they're exactly as you describe. They're all much of a muchness, really; the only variables being the quality of the wine and the buffet.
