You may be right.... Unfortunately I didn't have the cash to patent the idea back then....but like I say, as long as it never goes to market, I won't care too much anyway!

I've just written a song that goes:

"My Sweet Lord. Doo-lang, doo-lang, doo-lang, doo-lang".

I think I'll be okay.

It's catchy.....I particularly like the third "doo-lang" as it really emphasises wha't you're trying to convey.

I wrote a book along the same lines as The Da Vinci Code many moons ago. Almost identical in every way, other than my plot was based around the life of Rolf Harris.

Frankly anyone who can make music out of a sheet of cardboard is a witch in my opinion!

In my early days as a writer, I wrote and submitted a sitcom pilot that was unremittingly tedious.

Imagine my ever-increasing agony over the years as I've seen my idea reproduced again and again by unscrupulous prod co's.

Thieving swine that they are!

I can't say what the sketch show was called because I could be sued for libel. It did have the same name when they contacted me, but it changed later on.

so just to get the story straight.....you wrote a sketch show....someone stole it from you, and now YOU have to keep quiet?

Yes, you can. The Simpsons may be mainstream, but it's not a family show. It certainly wasn't.

Who watches something, and how they watch it, doesn't dictate what it's meant to be.
