If it's absolutely identical you might be in with a shout. Otherwise, forget it. I had a sketch show stolen by a very well know prod. co. and they even sent me my own treatment by mistake, when they asked if I'd like to write for their new show. It went through my agent's lawyers and even though it was about 75% the same, there was nothing I could do about it. Fortunately they made a right balls of it, so I didn't have to form a death squad.

So what was the name of your stolen show then, and was it the same name when It finally got aired on television?

I do!
I'll watch it tonight but the prevailing vibe is that it's terrible. It looks like it cost a fortune - well in British sitcom terms - so it's being pimped everywhere at the moment.

That is terrible. I'd be hiring The Yardies almost immediately. Anyone got a number for The Yardies?

Interesting that you used the word Fortunate?
I'd personally like to see "Big Top" do well....regardless of whether I manage to successfully get anything from it.
It would reaffirm my belief that it was a good idea for a sitcom all along!
On the other hand, if tonight's show does turn out to be rubbish, I'll sit there thinking the writers made a total balls-up of what could've been a good series
The identical thing is very common.
Me and Danny both had the same idea and even came up with the same title.
