Hmm...interesting.

The thing is can Danny "prove" his idea for Oh Henry predates yours? And if the idea actually really got made into a series and they stuck it on the telly, would he be as happy to sit back and not make a fuss?

I mean it's all very well taking a back seat on a script that hasn't been commissioned, but once it's there on TV and people are watching it, the guy might suddenly start feeling a little different?

I'll give you an example... About 8 years ago, I invented a modification to an aluminium drinks can, that allows you to re-seal the can. In essence, the ring-pull on the drinks can twists on its axis, and a piece of aluminium underneath (inside) the can then forms a seal to prevent foreign objects getting in it, and you spilling the drink.

Now I came up with this 8 years ago....and would you believe it, about 9 months ago a friend of mine calls me up and says "Jeff, you know that drinks can invention you came up with yonks ago....well there's a big article about it in the Metro!".

And there it was.....my invention..... there's even a YouTube video to demonstrate how it works.

Now my point is that this doesn't bother me....yet.

The idea hasn't gone to market, and the guy claiming to have invented it hasn't made loads of money from it.....at the moment it's still just a concept.

So right now it doesn't bother me.....however if I suddenly start seeing these cans at my local Sainsbury's then you can bet you're arse I'll be getting legal advice, as I had all of the documentation and drawings sealed and stored away, and back then even sent the idea off to Virgin Cola!

Like I say...it's only when it becomes real, and is brought to market, that suddenly it starts to affect you.
