Planning a Novel Page 5

Anyone tried quarter cask Lephroig? What do you make of it? I love the stuff.

Me, not yet. Will look out for it. I love Laphroig but Ardbeg takes the characteristics of Islays to its most extreme edge and yet remains stunningly drinkable. But it has to Laguvalin as the king of all things Islay, imo.

Make sure you buy 3 or 4 bottles of Quarter Cask Lephroig (it's not the normal one) because it's going out of circulation soon and it'll be worth a fortune in years to come, they don't make a lot of it either and it's very popular.

Anyone tried bushmills? it's very bitter and tastes of sulphur despite having a lot of sweet ingredients in it. It's a bit like painting sherry and fruity flavours with the whisky to hide the sulphur taste. Yuck!!!
