Radio 5

Might have been asked before but cba to look.

What do people think about R5?

For me it's okish with annoying features . .

e.g. Mr Smug a.k.a. Nicky Campbell who, incidentally, to link to another thread, made the 'C*nts and Ars*ol*s of the British Isles' centre spread in Viz a while back, as did Stephen Nolan. A well deserved accolade in both cases.

Danny Baker

And is there a PI for the number of times Radio 5 Live, on 5 Live, 5 Live Sports Extra, have to be said in a hour?

Inane trailers persistently played usually featuring 'grown' men screaming like a ten year old about a goal being scored.

Sometimes feeling I'm tuned to Radio Ulster.

Having said all that, I don't know why I listen to it !

Yes I do.

Peter Allen and Anita Annand on Drive (or 5Live Drive as they are forced to say every 7 minutes).

Donal McIntyre.

Jon Piennar

Whenever I visit my Mum, she's always got some Talk Radio station on and it invariably winds me up.

Basically, some retard reads something in the Daily Mail, they then go into a radio studio and say 'Did you see the article in the Daily Mail?', then loads of other retards ring in with pig ignorant views on the topic.

Oh wait...that's the same as this Forum.

But at least we're funny.

I have limited listening experience, but 6 Music seems to be the only BBC radio station I can stomach. I like it very much.

I don't think I've ever listened to it.

I'm all about Radio 4 at the moment. :)

Maybe going out on a limb here, but give Drive a go 4pm - 7pm weekdays.

If you get Peter and Anita it's usually very good imho.

Snap, zooo!

Heh!

The other day I found myself listening to a half hour show about yoghurt.

Laughing out loud

If anyone suffers from low blood pressure I can recommend Jeremy Vine on Radio 2, 12pm-2pm, listening to him and the rest of the f**kwits on there is guaranteed to send your blood pressure through the roof.

I like late night Radio 5 phone-ins. I think it's very important to keep up-to-date with what the clinically insane and the wilfully pig-ignorant are thinking. :)

I listen to 6 Music some and have listened to the "interesting" talk radio that's on really late on 5. I don't know about down south where Randy is, but we have very little live late night stuff on stations in my part of the US.

;)

(bit of an obvious reply, but what the hey)

I haven't listened to over-the-air radio in years. Not a fan of talk radio anyway.

I listen to NPR quite a bit, but not much of the political stuff. I can't wait to get my Sirius radio going again.

I didn't bother to subscribe to XM once the free trial for my car radio expired. I decided that it's not worth $15/month to me, but I've heard about a $77/year subscription that customers are offered when they threaten to leave. Maybe I'll look into it.

We have a free Sirius subscription at work because we used to provide support for their satellites. I should just bring the unused radio home from my office and plug it in at the house.

Yeah, you can get great deals if you threaten to jump ship.
