One sided phone call format

Hello. Is there a particular way to format a one sided phone conversation?
I don't know I should do it as one running paragraph or separate lines.
Do I need to specify the situation on the script?

If a character is on the phone and you only want their dialogue to be heard I'd just write it out with ... to indicate pauses as they listen.

Hope that helps!

Btw, this will probably get moved to the Writers' Discussion part of the forum.

Thanks. :)

Please make sure you post in the correct forums, guys!

:$Sorry. Can I move it myself?

It's too late for apologies, noob boy. One more mistake like that and Aaron will come round your house to kill your family.

Good. They make me generate incorrectly place threads against my will. Save me Aaron. Pirate

I've just had to write a one-sided call for a script comp, and used it as all one dialogue entry with ellipses to show pauses. Like this:

Yes-police please ... hello, yes my family are forcing me to post forum entries in the wrong topic area of a popular comedy website ... what? ... I can assure you it's very ser ... well, no, but ... hello?

HE PUTS THE PHONE DOWN IN DISGUST. THE DOORBELL RINGS, AND HE GOES TO THE FRONT DOOR AND OPENS IT

Hello Aaron! What're you doing here? And what's that axe for?

I'm sure my entry will do really well.
