Family Tree/ Relation Puzzle - Help! Page 2
Oh I don't count them as family anymore lols
I was just interested about any relation connection that might exist.
As far as my nan goes she tried to nick my Grandads funeral money so not particularly bothered not to be related to a thief lols
Then... what you talkin' about, Willis?
What do you mean?
I wanted to know if there was any relation by blood. and it seems not.
I meant that since I found out that they aren't properly related ive distanced myself from them. I wanted to be sure of any connection or lack of so that I know whether or not they are my blood relatives and whether I was right to stop thinking of them as 'family'
If they treated you like you weren't family - even if they were blood relatives - then they weren't really family. Family isn't a strictly genetic / blood thing. It doesn't mean that some mystical blood union exists with people that have treated you badly. And you don't need to prove a lack of blood linkage to be able to cut your ties with them.
Family is about more than that. If you have a group of people that treats you like family, they are your real family. Whether you share blood or not.

If you have any ancestors in common, i.e a great grandparent, biologically, then they are related by blood, but if only by marriage then there isn't any.
Family legend has it that we're related by blood to Robbie Burn's wife Jean Armour, but sadly not to him - only through marriage.
I would LOVE to do my family tree! Wouldn't even know where to start though.
