On this Day In History 10.11.1871

10th November 1871, Ujiji, Central Africa.

Henry Stanley together with his two native guides are travelling through the jungle, they are stood in a clearing. They hear loud cracks of twigs breaking and immediately tense up.

They look around in fear. The tension building music in the background steps up a notch.

Another crack and rustle in the undergrowth. It is clear that they are not alone.

Stanley grabs his rifle. The natives drop their packs and turn to face the noise, expecting at any moment to be attacked by a pride of hungry lions or a group of fearsome cannibals.

Another rustle and a tall white man appears out the undergrowth. It is the legendary Dr David Livingstone.

Livingstone : Hello there old chap!

Stanley and the natives leap round to face Livingstone, horror in their eyes.

Stanley : And just who the FUCKING HELL are you?

Hi Bigfella. (Sorry but recently realised I've never said hello which is pretty rude of me. Sorry). Been waiting for today's installment and I'm not disappointed. Enjoyed it.

The problem is hardly anyone knows what Livingstone looks like, so without the famous line everybody's going to be left scratching their heads.

I did think that. :(

Maybe a caption at the start - Stanley is searching for the legendary explorer David Livingstone.

But that sort of gives the game away....

I need a drawing board...

Hello to scratchyr as well. Wave

I think Kevin has a point but agree it seems hard to set it up without spoiling the punchline. Could one of the guides refer to him as Stanley?
