This is the gist of it:
Sky Movies Indie HD Channel searches for next best thing in UK Filmmaking: in association with The Independent and Skillset.
Sky Movies is offering one independent film maker the unique opportunity to have their own HD film financed and broadcast on air by Sky.
Aspiring film makers are invited to submit their own one-page treatment for a 10 minute HD short film. A panel of industry experts including Sky Movies' Movie Geek presenter Josh Howie, will consider these treatments, before announcing the winner in December.
The winning film maker will be awarded £5,000 for equipment hire to shoot and edit their film in High Definition with the film to be shown on Sky Movies Indie HD in the New Year.

Can you use the money instead to buy a top notch HD video camera I wonder and then keep it?

£5000? I don't get out of bed for five grand... (My income comes from taking part in experimental sleep studies thesedays. )

1. This competition is open to residents of Great Britain only. Employees (or family members of employees) of any British Sky Broadcasting Group company ("Sky"), companies associated with the Promotion and all affiliates of such companies may not enter the Promotion.

And on that note - I'm out. Which is ridiculous, I go there to work, not to infiltrate the system.

I have a Fez and a smoking jacket if that is any good? Sorry for ignoring you but you have to concentrate on steering when riding elephants don't you know.

That's ok, my dancing was rubbish so I'm sure you were being polite and doing the right thing.
Do you wear your smoking jacket and slippers and smoke your pipe whilst riding your elephant around Sheringham? I imagine the Maharaja costume would attract too much attention.

I inherited a very old fez and a pith helmet from my Dad but I don't have them any more.
