Miranda Hart Q&A 10 Nov 09 Page 5

seem arrogant to mention it.

Doesn't bother me. However, a constant thread continually mentioning it does get a tad tedious. Perhaps I shouldn't read it? How could I not, some of these exchanges are comedy gold! ;)

Anyway, let's move this thread back to the subject of the Miranda Q&A event now please. This is all quite irrelevant.

But funny. ;)

Anyway, Q&A event...

*waits for Jane P* Errr

Just got back! I feel like I'm intruding on my own thread here but just for Zooo....

It was great thanks - I found it really interesting hearing about her 8 year overnight success - and after the Q&A Miranda came into the bar and was happy to chat to everyone. She sat with us for a while as I know a friend of hers so I managed to ask her a few questions and she was totally lovely.

:)

For any of you who are actually interested they will be posting a transcript of the Q&A in the Writers Room at some point. Obviously every writer has their own technique but I'm always interested to hear how people approach their work. Also she kept saying how she only really got into writing to give herself work, and ideally would have other people doing that bit for her. Cue several 'would be' writers like me deluging her with scripts now...

As a bonus I knew a few people there after all so it was all rather pleasant.

Update over. So, as you were...

Cheers, Jane. :)

Charity (the friend).

Long shot I mean I imagine she has more than one.

Sounds good, would love to have gone.

Wasn't she part of "Three girls in a boat?"

Alas no she wasn't the fabled 3rd girl, but that IS the Charity I was thinking of.

Sorry Danny it was a guy in this case!

But good to hear she has 2+ friends.

:)

Oh and someone mentioned there's a similar thing next week but I can't remember who with.

It's no fun mate. Best just to play with yourself.

Aw, she sounds lovely.
Will definitely look for the transcription.
Thanks JP!

Damn you London folk with your access to public transportion and meeting venues!

Sounds good JP glad you enjoyed it.

I'd like to attend more recordings etc but I find it hard due to a 500 odd mile round trip. I also damn you London folk!

Anyway, glad you had a good time JP!
