Ronnie I think you should include the song but I also think you should try and change it in a way that makes your script better. You could have a character singing it or you could have the entire cast. Is it studio based?
Thank you Jim. I may consider this for another project I am working on. I do think if you can somehow include music in a script and make it work it helps make it much richer.

I had a tune in mind when I wrote a cop show sitcom (uncommissioned). I didn't write the music and I never told the producers for fear of looking a bit like an over keen amatuer. But I feel I can tell you guys...

Thanks Greensville. I love Danny Elfman so lots of influence on my stuff. I wrote a musical sitcom for Pett Productions once. Demo'd all the music up and everything but unfortunately it was never picked up. One day though...
