It's Debbie Does Dallas tomorrow.

You know like these young actresses from the soap operas, when they do an FHM style lingerie shoot, is that porn?

Or is it only porn when you get to see the giblets?

Quote: Dolly Dagger @ November 9 2009, 6:58 PM GMT

No, IMO porn has been defended here beyond what is probably the general consensus in society - obviously many people here like to look at porn a lot and don't appear to want to think about the other implications.

But then this forum isn't really a good indication of normal society. :)

I could just be a good girl and shut up and agree with you all to make myself popular, but unfortuantely I someone who can only stand by their beliefs - which are often based on a lot of life experience. :(

Okay.... Please don't take offence, I say this all out of love. No one is stopping you believing what you want to believe or standing by something you feel strongly about. You don't have agree with anything we say but the thing is people are going to have different opinions. You are asking us to listen to your point of view and we have and we have been sharing our own. Some of us happen to hold our own opinions and you are not the only person here who has formed their opinions based on life experiences and things they have seen or have happened to them. You are asking us not to belittle you for having a strong opinion on a subject you feel passionately about but may I remind you that turning around and pointing the finger, however justified you feel in doing so, you are doing the same thing back. No offence intended at all Dolly, your opinion does matter but you can't keep turning around and saying we are being cliquey or putting you down or ignoring you everytime we don't automatically agree with what you are saying because all that does is alienate the very people you feel are alienating you for standing by your beliefs and you will end up being left out in the end because people will eventually stop sympathising. If people are being horrible to you BE THE BIGGER PERSON! Ignore them. Don't reply to them and just reply to those who are not trying to wind you up. Rise above it and you won't feel so bad, I promise. I only say all this because there are people here, me included, who really like you and don't want to see you freeze yourself out.

Great book. The film was pure titillation though.

Dan

Yes, the book was about empowering women in the workplace. Thatcher swears by it.

Yeah! Like that Haley from Coronation Street. And wotsername? Blanch.

Nah, is just very tacky and predictable. And a bit sad.

I'm still holding out for the Heather Trott sling bikini special. :$

It's the celebrity magazines that need to be scrutinized. They encourage equally as bad things on a public level, which is more over exposed and accessible by anyone then porn will ever be.

Quite. It's the images that rags like that, and like the majority of the industry Dolly likes to tell us she worked in, that promote such an unhealthy ideal of the human body that is the real influence on young women and their desired appearance.

Truly brilliant. Laughing out loud

She's not been watching the high-class porn I have. The Caravaggios in some of the Manors are stunning!

Not sure how the National Trust feel about it, mind.

Implications such as what? That we'll turn off our computers at some point (! :O) and go out a-rapin'?

You have experience of being a man and watching pornography?

I can't believe I missed a massive argument about porn where Ruby felt the need to knock heads.

God I hate working, really I do, I miss out on all the fun. I had to clear a mouse infested cupboard today and talk to someone. My life sucks so bad and none of you care. Screw you all I'm going to write a poorly spelled and insulting letter to a grieving family.

As for porn, it is getting more extreme. Where as I am neither a prude nor procensorship we should be responsible for our fantasy lives.

Wank over some hardcore S&M gay porn, to get the idea of how creepy and unsettling some stuff is.

Did anyone see that story in the news about the Ralph Lauren model. She was a size 8 and was fired because she refused to lose anymore weight. Thy even photoshopped a picture of her for their ad campain making her look so thin, it shocked her.

This was the ad.

Image

Ralph Lauren deny firing her for not losing weight and claim this pic was released by accident. If so, why did they not withdraw it?

That was not me knocking heads! That was me being straight for the benefit of a friend.

You will know when I have to knock heads! Scalps will be lost.

Her head is so out of proportion with her body that I keep expecting her spine to snap.

Except it's not a .gif. But y'know.
