I don't understand the feelings behind anti-semitism.
I dunno but I find it terrifying. I can't watch old footage from death camps, I physically can't do it, it's just too much for me. This is the kind of thing that happens when people turn on a religion because of things that are happening politically. I fear for muslims who're just like you or me, trying to lead normal lives, doing the same things. I've seen the feelings coming out in the Griffin thread and it really really worries me. This 'terrorism' is entirely political, it has nothing to do with religion. These people are angry because they have seen pictures of Arab children with missing limbs, families destroyed and tortured - their homelands being invaded and taken over by foreign troops who're doing all this damage and killing their people. You bet they're pissed off! If England were invaded by a power we had no chance of fighting and our people were treated this way I'm pretty sure we'd be pissed off too. It's about politics, not religion, and it's absolutely by no means one-sided, as we all seem to suppose, like we are noble, Jedi knights who've done nothing wrong fighting the dark side. Also, amazing how almost all of the 'big guns' amongst these 'terrorists' are known to have had dealings of one sort or another with western governments prior to these fall outs. Bin Laden is an obvious and well-known example of this. To start blaming a religion and all who follow it is madness, it's ignorant, it's irrational, and, speaking personally, it's very frightening.
