Its true that I've met English people that are just the same, Russian's too - they exist everywhere. So why be so offended that they are depicted as Welsh in a Welsh-English sitcom? Are the English characters in the show positive reflections on England? I don't think so.
Our friend indicated that this was a true reflection of his experiences in Wales and his vast experience of working with one bloke. He didn't seem to allow for the fact that there's a rumour going around that not all Welsh people are like this. And he is an idiot if he thinks this.

My wife Dawn and I have been on several outings to Wales and I used to work a Welsh gentleman called Owain and I feel the stanrage habits and idiosyncracies, eccentricm uptight behaviour and occasionaly simple mindedness of the welsh people I have encountered is accurately depicted in this series.
But as you can see, we're only occasionally simple minded. Which is nice.
