I hadn't seen that sentence.
Who says that?

I made partner before 35. So I'm guessing the legal profession? Yep.

It was more the... oh never mind, dear.

Back to the show!

Can we please meet sometime. I'm worried.

I am a solicitor..

Twas a solicitor who wrote Lunch Monkeys. :) He used to ponce about on here as well. What does being a solicitor have to do with your expertise when it comes to comedy, in any case?

Ronnie: No, we cannot meet I'm afraid. Is that a joke from Miranda?

Tim: I am just a fan of comedy. A fan who happens to know a lot about top level content.

No I just think you are clearly trying to belittle people by metioning your succesful law career and your affair with TV presenters, when in truth this isn't a particualry great acheimvent and in my mind you are belittling yourself by beleiving it is. I think I might be able to help you.

I am merely stating my opinion. This is a forum is it not? (It is).

Nope. What is the art of a 'woman' falling over repeatedly and speaking the most ridiculous dialogue? The answer? It isn't.

I like how Jim answers his own questions. :)

Top skill that, isn't it? Oh, indeed.

Looks like a good fun show to me. Pretty much agree with Tim's comments.

As usual it's not to everyone's tastes but anything that helps Renegade embrace his inner female goddess has to be a good thing.

x

ps RC - the Victoria Wood play I saw at the weekend is still running if you've changed your mind now?

I really liked it. Just the warm sort of funny, well written, life affirming comedy I enjoy.

Really enjoyed the show AND looking forward to next weeks episode, hooray double yay!

playing to the morons, .

What a delightful thing to say. Don't like a show, say why, but do not try to say that anyone who does like it is basically an idiot. That, in itself, is idiotic.

It is nonsense for the dullards.

I must be a dullard then. Why try and insult people who happened to like it?

X 2.

I wanted to like this just because it would be nice to have something good to look forward to watching. As such, I was a little disappointed initially and thought my wife was going to ask me to turn it off. We stuck with it and began to enjoy it after about 10 minutes, I think she ended up laughing more than I did, which was odd, as I thought that chocolate willies were more my thing. In terms of joke material.

It's easy to criticise and over anal-ise being an aspiring writer and if I wasn't, I'm sure I'd have enjoyed it more taken at face value.

Quite happy to tune in next week.

I noticed that comedian Paul Kerensa (excellent circuit comic) was involved in the writing of this, he was also a writer on "Not Going Out" which was also very gag driven (because it was entirely written by and starred stand ups), hopefully this is a positive move by the BBC of getting proper joke writers to help gag shows like this up so that we can be spared the utterly laugh free tedium of shows like "Home Time".
