But I learnt all the dirty words off you. That dark and steamy night in Shropshire.

Was that you? I thought it was youngian. I get so fuddled nowadays! :S

But back on topic, they really would be better off repeating it on Sunday teatime. It's a show that could appeal to kids.

Well, apart from the cockolate thing.

Well, apart from the cockolate thing.

Yeah, Simon Mayo had a problem with that too. I still think it's very child-friendly, the way a lot of seventies sitcoms were. In a good way. And I still think it'll struggle to find an audience in later slots.

I have just iPlayered it. Enjoyable. I wasn't sure after 10 mins but the second half picked up nicely and the whole thing was carried off with chutzpah by Miranda herself. Good effort all round.

I didn't expect to enjoy this and during the opening was convinced it was going to be awful... but as soon as her trousers started falling down when she was dancing I started laughing, and then was laughing all the way through. I thought it was great. Really nice, old fashioned style sitcom. Miranda is very endearing and I thought the whole thing was good fun and most of all actually funny. Nice to see proper jokes in a sitcom again. set ups and punchlines. Looking forward to the next one.

Unfortunately not as good this week. They tried to cram too much in and the storyline became confused and some of the set ups labourious. The quality of joke just wasn't there for me this time round.

Stevie shagging Miranda's old teacher had tonnes of mileage in it, but was quickly glossed over, same with the couple who were all 'couple-y' - they could have really milked that, but didn't bother.

This episode had a real difference in energy to the first one which was manically brilliant and even if one gag didn't work, then the next one came in right after, so you were never left with time to dwell on the failures.

Miranda herself is still very funny, but the material was v. poor this weak. I'll stick with it to see if it perks back up.

Did you see Ben in the shop?

Did you see Ben in the shop?

Laughing out loud Laughing out loud

How did they get away with two 'bollocks' before 9pm?

Overall I enjoyed it again, perhaps not as good as the first episode, but still good fun. Ben's guest appearance really sold me on it though.

It's great.

Either that's Ben, or there's something very evil and dangerous going on in this world... (Or possibly both.)

Anyway. I'd probably agree that it wasn't quite as good as the first episode, but that's not to say that it was bad. Because it wasn't.

Was probably even funnier than last week overall, I thought, although it wasn't as good. Looked under edited to me, three or four weak jokes let it down a tad - especially the repetitive 'Do you want kids?' one, but I'm starting to think that one's going to be in every week as a sort of ongoing thread joke. What's working best for me is all that aside stuff. I'll stick with this show, it's good.

Oh bollocks, I may have to endure it now, just to see Ben.
