Maybe Claire could be the one who tells Jean about her lack of experience rather than Jean having to ask questions for it first? Also, think it would be funnier if Jean was disgusted that Claire has the job when she clearly has no clue what she's doing. Claire could be the one who makes the suggestions like "I suppose I could do breaststroke with my head held out of the water…" etc. Add a bit of conflict to the characters.

Yeah, I'll give it a go. 
I'm going back through sketches written years ago and seeing if there's any stuff I can salvage, so cheers for the suggestions people.
