I already look cadaverous and wear horrific clothes almost every day of the year. And I've never needed an excuse to socialize and get drunk. Plus I've lived mostly in countries that have no tradition of Halloween. I really abhor the notion of knocking on a stranger's door and bothering them (first-footing in Scotland is different). When I was last in the UK, I didn't know anyone who made a special effort to celebrate Halloween. Sure there were themed parties, and people who bitched about kids knocking on their doors and throwing eggs and toilet paper at their houses when they didn't get any sweets. But it wasn't on a big scale. What's it like theseadays? Are the supermarkets full of Halloween-themed sweets? And are parents dressing their kids in store-bought costumes and sending them out trick or treating?

I have had a few Australian friends who've I've had the fortune of being around for their first Halloweens. My one buddy slapped on a mask and went trick or treating, he was pretty pumped and had a ball despite being 19.

My other friend Kayenne went all out dressing as a dinosaur and had was having tons of fun at this house party we were at....until some dude walked in dressed as a dead 'Steve Erwin' (he had died that year). Kayenne was pretty pissed and it ruined his night I think.

A lot of Australians are dicks. I'm no exception, even though I'm only half-Australian.

EDIT: I would have been amused to see someone dressed as a dead Steve Irwin (and even more amused to see an Aussie getting upset by it). Better still - a friend of mine went to a Halloween party last year as Bindi Irwin. Funny stuff. Bindi is Steve Irwin's daughter and has her own range of 'kid fitness' and wildlife fun DVDs and fashions. Terrifying!

What's up?

Yeah I had seen that similarity. It's the bloody hat - I had to wear it because that's when my hair was really long and I couldn't get it all under the wig.

I don't celebrate Halloween and I did my best to avoid watching crap 80s cartoons. But I did used to have to babysit three young girls who insisted on watching Jem and I watched on in horror. So you are going as Pizazz.

Hooray! Good work. Pleased

But don't disrespect the 80s on my watch! Unimpressed
