Linseeds are fine. You can also get omega oils from eggs, pulses, and seeds. Although you may find Flaxseed is better than linseed just because flaxseeds have a larger amount. You can buy flaxseed oil capsules.

This is where I get my omegas from...

I'm such a hypocrite, I won't drink milk (bleh!) But I'll eat cheese and milk chocolate :S

Doesn't too much soya affect your male hormones?

I eat fish or shell fish nearly every day.

Yeh makes you a hippy.

Not much help for me.

Well, maybe it 'could' be, indirectly!

Sadly no. :(

Still they're very tasty tomatoes.

Probably? But I can't imagine dairy milk being any less hormone-effecting, you know, because of all the unnatural cows in big sheds. Or is that chickens?

No, they don't keep cows in big chickens.

One of the (many) alleged problems with milk, is the growth hormones which they're fed, which come out in the milk and have been linked (by some people) to bowel cancer.

Exactly!

Soya may have its problems, what with deforestation and certain health risk allegations by the dairy industry but it's the step in a direction I personally want to take.

Does it count as a healthy habit if I don't eat meat? :P

There's always organic milk of course. I only buy organic dairy products. :)

Red meat, certainly! White meat might be healthier, but wrapped in breadcrumbs and deep fried doesn't really take full advantage, in reference to a young mothers comment I heard at the supermarket today.

I always presumed you had a pet cow, called Philbert.

Do Jaffa Cakes count as one my '5 a day?

Lovey Jaffa Cakes! I ain't eaten them in ages, think it's about time I had some!

I prefer Soya now, anyway. Milk tastes too much like it's been inside an animal.

The Dairy industry is a huge and problematic factor in all this, and we can only speculate upon what sorts of depths they would stoop to in order to protect themselves, in the face of uncomfortable evidence against their product, if such evidence were shown to be pertinent.

I buy the supermarket brand mostly, it does taste like watered down milk (but so is semi-skimmed) and I've just got used to it. Alpro is a real treat though! Especially the picture I posted; Vanilla flavour! It's like a milkshake :D

I can't drink a glass of dairy milk now, it will make me gag, like you said, tastes like it's been inside an animal, and doing that once a day is enough for me. Whistling nnocently

There are still plenty of concerns with that though, like the (possible) link to Osteoporosis.
