Ronnie Anderson's MA sitcom extract Page 4

Yes anyone can quote Roland Barthes. He thinks We Are Klang's a good sitcom.

Or is that Noam Chumsky?

And probably knew as much about literary critcism and linguistics as those two pretentious twats just mentioned.

I feel sort of happy that my work being critiqued has lead to the discussion of one of the most underrated and entertaining goalkeepers of all time, though obviously Schmichael was better.

"Debbie picks some papers from the top of a shelf."

Just to point out that you might like to check that you have replaced all instances of 'Debbie' with 'Jessica'

Best.

Yes, thank you for that. I shall change it.

Where have all roodeyes comments on my work gone. I am trying to do the final edit on this and I was rereading the comments but I can't find his. I have hopefully improved it for the better. I tried putting more gags in but there wasn't enough time to do it without coming up with stuff that made it seem too unnatural.

Ronnie,

By way of explanation, I should say I made what I thought was a humourously insulting comment about someone yesterday on BCG and I was threatened with a ban.

My little Rupert-style poem was totally without malice and, I thought, very funny under all the circumstances but it was a misjudgement on my part.

Accordingly, I decided to withdraw from active life on BCG and take my often-annoying manner and my often-annoying postings with me. It's not a case of 'marching out in a huff': it's just a case of moving out quietly and leaving the place as I found it.

Ronnie I would point up in the beginning that Jessica is a volunteer and that the job she is interested is a full time, paid position - we need to know what the dynamics are from the beginning.

Cheers. I shall do.
I stayed up all night and still couldn't finish the bugger.

How many words do you need to do?

I need to do ninety pages. I have one script that I have done rough drafts for which I have two days to write.

I just need to write a couple of scenes for the charity one but they are taking ages. It does feel I am butchering my own writing by having to do it so quick.

i also have a four thousand word commentary but I am sort of looking forward to that as it's just talking about myself as if I was on a South Bank special about myself.

Ronnie, I have to admit, in my onion, I didnt laugh much. butthat's not to say that someone, somewhere, would not. in other words - I think there is work to be done to make it as accessable to as many people as posible. good luck with improving the script, I know it can be a long prosess.
