Believe me I am not lmao.

I can't imagine Tobias featuring in John Prescott's list ! :)

I love that name. But it doesn't mean I have to be David Cameron to like it :)

Thank fook I'm changing it next year.

I've also noticed that I seem to have developed a Famous Five fixation. Julian George and Dick are all there. Shame Anne isn't a boys name.

An American Werewolf in London brings back bad memories. I haven't watched it since 1982, which I think was when it first came out.

It's still a great film, but it has dated somewhat, especially the special effects.

Funnily enough, whenever I get the last tube and I'm walking through the empty station, it always reminds me of the film.

Not dated at all!
Cos they didn't use shitty CGI.

Both true and false. True they didn't use shitty CGI, false in that the effects have not dated.

The initial transformation scene in Jenny Agutter's flat is shot in such a way as to say 'Wow! Look at our physical effects'. It just goes on and on and on. The cut aways are very obvious and the use of latex and bladders is so blatant, that it kind of takes you out of the scene.

Don't get me wrong, it's still very good and was groudbreaking at the time, but compared to what followed it has dated somewhat.

For my money, Jurassic Park is still the best blend of CGI and physical effects ever filmed.

Have you seen the old horror film about the cannibals living in the underground system? That was pretty scary.

I love Jurassic Park too.
But the effects in Werewolf don't look dated to me at all, except maybe the little bit in the tube where the wolf is walking. But the change scene is so scary and real and horrible, just as much now as the first time I saw it.

Is it '70s?
Jonathan Ross mentioned one like that and I've been meaning to find it ever since.

Yep. I'll try and find a link...

How old was it Dolly? The only one I can remember is recent-ish called Creep which was surprisingly good, especially for a British film.

Is it that one?
