No, we weren't keen on Sam Fox or Maria Whittaker, we liked Kirsten Imrie, Kathy Lloyd and my favourite Shanine Linton. Cor.

We were also all totally in love with Banarama, particularly Keren Woodward. Double cor.

There's some blasts from the past! My two best friends and I were nicknamed Bananarama and we never took it as a compliment. :D

How about people who look like cartoon characters? Danny Kelly, who used to be the Editor of NME and Q, before getting into Sports presenting on TV and Radio, looks like Captain Pugwash. I remember watching his old show 'Under the Moon', late one night, on Channel 4, and some stoner phoned in just to tell him about his likeness to the Captain, and Kelly just stared at the screen in silence for about 10 seconds. It was like a scene from Tim and Eric on Adult Swim.

I was wondering if anyone has ever got mistaken for a famous person. I got mistaken for Luke Pritchard at a gig a few years ago and almost got a shag out of it till the dozy cow worked out I was lying.

I get mistaken for my brother, but he's not that famous.

No, if I was going to start a thread it'd be BCG footballer lookalikes and Aaron would probably be pretty pissed about that. Also, I think Ben is the only BCGer who looks like a footballer.
I think Tim Walker looks a bit like Nicky Butt.

Laughing out loud

He looks more like Gary Numan in the new avatar. :D

My granddad looks like old Clint Eastwood, only he can kick more ass.

My dad has gone from looking like Steve McQueen to Victor Meldrew. My grandad looked like one of the Krays. Cool

My Grandad proudly proclaims that he used to look like one of The Krays. He had a similar haircut back in the day...

My Dad has something of the Bill Oddie about his appearance!

We were also all totally in love with Banarama.

When I was young my friends and I used to love putting on shows in our gardens for family and friends. Our favourite was singing and dancing to 'Robert De Niro's Waiting'.

We always got a good turn out, not because we were any good, but rather that we called ourselves 'Ramabanana'. :O

We'd put posters up all over the neighbourhood, it must have been quite a disappointment.

Because even as a teenager I was hilariously funny, I used to put on an American accent and call them the 'Banana Rammers'.

Yes, I really was that funny.

Don't be down on yourself Angie, I'm sure paedos came from miles around to see your back garden 'Mini Pops'. :P
