Well I was surprised that The Suits laughed. The ladies were a little more shocked.
I once did a set where the audience was divided in three groups. Stunned silent, nervous laughter & regular laughter. At the end I heard someone say it was the weirdest thing/act they'd ever seen.

I had one audience almost in tears, not of laughter, but of pity at how crap my childhood was. Same set somewhere else and the audience thought it was funny.
