I remenber when I first saw Jonathan King singing "Everyone's gone to the moon" on Top of the Pops in the 60s. I was about 10 but even then I could tell there was something not quite right about him. Then I met him in the 70s and actually voted for him! Serves me right - but it could've been a lot worse I suppose.

Drink-posting is de-riguer at some point. How else do you explain the stuff people come out with on here.

If I was drunk, I'd be too busy being happy to have time to post on an online forum. Alcohol doesn't transform me (apart from making me a bit more garrulous) or my writing. LSD used to be a bit detrimental to the writing though.

I always thought most people must have been drinking to post what they do, but I spoouse just being behind a keyboard gives them the courage to write things they would never say in real life.

If anything, being behind a keyboard makes me more restrained. In "real life" I'm much the same, just taller and less reluctant to reveal intimate details of my private life. Thank Christ.

My online persona is pretty much the same as the real me, unforutunately. But I talk more in real life. I also tend to be more restrained because words you post stay up there and stay around far longer than things you say in real life.
Boyzone star Stephen Gately died of natural causes, a court official on the island of Majorca said.
The official said a post mortem had established that the singer suffered a pulmonary oedema, an accumulation of fluid on the lungs.
This would appear to confirm speculation that Mr Gately, who died after a night on the town on the island, choked on his vomit.
At a brief court hearing in the island's capital Palma, a judge said that Mr Gately's body could be taken home.
The 33-year-old was found dead on Saturday. He was discovered on the sofa in his apartment in Port Andratx after a night out partying with his partner Andrew Cowles.
Are they sure it was vomit he choked on?
This is presumably without toxicology reports. Those tests can take a 7-10 days to run and complete. And pulmonary oedema is not a cause of death, just a mode of death. It can be caused by a dozen things.
