Stuff on Radio that isn't Comedy

I thought it would be interesting to start a thread about shows on radio that are not comedy (if such a thread has already been begun, I apologise).

The main reason why I've started it because a preview video has been made of the second series of Planet B, one of BBC Radio 7's few original shows, which begins on 29th November. The first series was the biggest single original comission made by the station (10 episodes long). For those who haven't heard of the series, it is a sci-fi drama set on a virtual world. Here is a video promoting the second series (but you need headphones to listen to it). The first of Planet B is currently on the iPlayer.

I don't think The Shipping Forecast is meant to be funny, but it makes me laugh.

Sciliy Automatic.

I like Iain Lee's sunday night show on Absolute. I used to listen to him on LBC.

Static can be quite entertaining, but never funny.

Same here, It's a great show.
I've phoned up once or twice, but always a bit worried he'll cut me off quick.

He's moved to weekdays now, not sure when it starts again, I haven't seen a podcast up for a few weeks.

Having said all that, It is meant to be comedy of a sort I think.

I haven't heard it for a while. Clive Bull on LBC is pretty good too. That's the show peter Cook used to phone in to, as Sven the Norwegian.

Ermm . . I like Drive on Radio 5 (I refuse to say '5live drive' like the Tristrams seem to insist on every 30 seconds) . .

Peter Allen and Anita Anand . class act !

:D

I would have guessed you'd like Peter Allen, oldrocker. :P

Indeed. But I think I like Anita more ! !

:P
