Series 4? ... Disillusioned with opposition politics, Tucker returns home to run a marine research institute, only to get embroiled in regional politics when mudslides threaten.
Better ideas?

If I were Armando, from a TV perspective I'd be praying for a hung parliament in the general election. That would open up so many plot avenues. (In reality it would probably make for a governmental nightmare in the country, but it would make some good telly.)

I wanted him to be my dad.
(No offence, Dad.)

Believe me it's not that much fun having Malcolm Tucker for a dad.
Aw.
Well ok, I'd only want him on the agreement that he'd be Malcom Tuckery to everyone else, but nice to me.

Even in nice mode, you're kind of waiting for the anger to emerge! Still my da does have a very funny line in insults which you can't help laughing at - even if you're the one he's calling a useless c**t.
This series started a repeat run on BBC Four on Saturday, in case anyone's interested: http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b00npkc9/The_Thick_of_It_Series_3_Episode_1/

Quote: Nogget @ December 17 2009, 7:32 AM GMTSorry, I'm getting her mixed up with Julia Sawalha. I'll try harder to get my facts straight in the future, Jim.
Julia is Janet and Rebecca is Bloodymsjacksoncow.
'Paranoid' doesn't even begin to cover it.

The lead male character in Alastair Campbell's new novel, Maya, is an unstable media spinner. Maybe Iannucci should sue?
Only started watching this on the repeat run, and have to say I'm loving it.
BBC Four's Great offices of State featured the Home Office with Alan Johnson's first day in a shiny new PFI office block that looks a lot like DOSAC. http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b00qplfp
Lovely clip of Johnson in full Nicola Murray/Hugh Abbot mode making crap jokes to his civil servants.
