I just got HBO back after canceling it back in March or April because Dexter and a few other can't miss shows started back up. I also noticed that I now had access to all the episodes of the new Thomas Jane and Anne Heche show 'Hung' and I have to say it's pretty funny. It's about this high school teacher in Detroit who's life is getting worst by the minute after his wife leaves him, his house burns down but has no insurance, lives in a tent, ect..ect.ect... in the long run he decides to pimp out the only thing he's good at his large member. Yup he's a male prostitute.
Hung
For UK viewers, this starts next week on More4, Thurday 15th October at 10pm, just before the new season of Curb.
Cool! Good timing.
Must say, I'd never heard of it till today. So worth a watch then, you say, Curt? I shall give it a go, HBO and all that.
I've seen every episode and I absolutely loved it. Not for Tom Jane's bare ass (a nice bonus though), but it's actually pretty funny. I'd recommend giving it a go.
Don't know if anybody caught this HBO show before Curb last night, bit it's actually pretty good. It's repeated on More4 over the weekend at some point.
Just me then. Pff!
'Hung', 'Modern Family' and 'Curb' - Thursdays have never been this good.
Anybody else watching this yet? Or am I just way too 'f**king cool?'
I watched the full season John. It's very good.
Hi Curt. Yeah, I'm four episodes in and really enjoying it. Typically good HBO writing and casting.
Well it's started here in the UK now. The pilot had some very good dialogue, and I found myself laughing at times, but I wouldn't really class it as a comedy as such. Hopefully it will grow on me, and I won't find myself ffwding over the dull bits any more in the future.
I watched this first time on More 4 and was really taken with how brilliant it was. Why haven't we got anything as good as HBO on this side of the pond, I wonder.
I watched it when it was more 4 and liked it. I agree with Nogget it wasn't really a comedy as such. There were moments that had me smiling but I didn't really laugh out loud that much, but the characters and story were intriguing enough to keep me coming back.
