As far as I recall St Valentine was a bloke, canonised by blokes.

Unnecessary Conversation
I just finished a pack of Ryvita biscuits, topped with cheese and avocado. And this post disproves "unnecessary conversation" being limited to women. And Australian radio is filled with unnecessary conversation, at least half of it by men.

I prefer Ryvita to bread. And I think it was invented by the Swedes, not a woman.

But who gave him his own day?
Ah, I know - whoever's in charge of card, flower and chocolate companies.
MISTER Hallmark?
So that one day a year people can pretend they care about the someone else?

It's no fun. Imagine an obsessive woman hanging around outside your office, following you to bars and then showing up outside your house. Eventually I did make the mistake of inviting her in one night, when I was more drunk than usual.
Mr Dagger was stalked by a WPC who arrested him.

I remember at Junior school our team was doing so badly that the P.E. Teacher rounded up some boys (myself included) and made us play them. We of course lost. I'm not sure how this was supposed to really help the girls. (No, we weren't made to wear the little skirts, but we insisted)

Men, men, men (at least in Asia).

Gawd, I'd love to play netball again. I was GA, because I was one of the taller girls. And then everyone grew.
Infomercials for cosmetics. And Oprah. And daytime soap operas.

Apart from men at Uni. I used to sit and watch Sunset Beach a lot.

We always did PE with the girls in junior school. And they made you do it in your pants if you forgot your shorts (girls and boys). How utterly embarrassing.

Especially for this kid called Simon, who was sporting severe back-end stains.

It seems there was a Simon in every school!
