Was just wondering if anyone remembered The Hello Girls? It was on from 1996 - 1998 on BBC1 and had Letitia Dean from EastEnders in it. It was set in a 1950s or 60s telephone exchange.
I used to have alot of it on video but wiped over them gradually 
I thought it was quite good, not a sitcom, just a comedy/ drama type show, very funny at times.
I watched this a few times. It was sort of like Mad Men without any men and set in Hull.
I don't remember anything about this apart from the basic plot, the fact that it had Letitia Dean in it and, for the entire time it was on, I really wanted to be one of the girls! It always looked cheery and fun. 
Oh, I've also just remembered there was one plot where one of the girls got a suicidal person on the end of their line. That obviously was not cheery or fun.
