And you've got even more damage to repair than zooo! Don't think I've forgotten the "Let's play another game" thread! *crosses self*
Ha, I didn't know there was another The Blob! And it's just old enough that it might be awesome.
The original is ace. Was surprisingly scary.
Quote: chipolata @ November 19 2010, 11:18 PM GMTIronically the original was the first film I saw on telly as a kid that absolutely terrified me.
My one of them was Ghostbusters, I think.

Dogma. Great movie that even Alanis Morrisette can't ruin. And whatever happened to Kevin Smith? He never bettered Dogma or even came close.
Kevin Smith is a good sketch writer, but a (mostly) awful screenwriter and director. Two decent films (Clerks (1 not 2, obviously) & Dogma) bobbing in an ocean of turds. (Jersey Girl being a particularly notable shitfest.)
I used to think Kevin Smith was the dogs bollocks. But then I opened my eyes. Now Jesus is the...
I still love Mallrats, mainly through nostalgia and Dogma is good too. But the rest doesn't do anything for me.
Chasing Amy is good too.

Rather than trying to write a credible film, he seems to prefer getting fatter, blogging about his tiny cock and being friends with Edgar Wright thesedays.

I did love that bit which I think was C.A, where he just explodes at Silent Jay about being silent. I can't remember it properly though.

Alanis and Ben Affleck! Perhaps it would have been even better with Julian Sands in it as well?
Never liked Dogma; Clerks, Chasing Amy and Mallrats are great, though. Especially Clerks, obviously, one of the all time great movie comedies for me. (I quite like Clerks 2 as well)

Affleck is proving to be a pretty good film writer/director lately though.

Yep. That's fair enough. Weird how when they did Good Will Hunting everyone thought it would be Matt Damon who'd turn out to be the less-successful actor.

It's no Clerks, but it's no Jersey Girl either!

Probably just because Afflek has the more conventional leading man good looks.
They're both a bit odd looking. But in a good way, like.
Affleck actually is good in Dogma though.
Affleck's brother is a fine actor.
