No, Jumper's better than Transformers 1. Transformers was awful product placement crap from Michael Bay, and had cringingly embarassing good robots with their street slang. The action sequences in all the Transformers films were pretty poor as well, since Bay insisted on getting the camera too close to the action so you could never see what was going on. Plus it was overlong. Although you're right about there being a moronic fanbase who went to see it on the basis they'd played with the toys as children.
Jumper was Citizen Cane compared to Transformers. And it looks like I was wrong about their not being a sequel, apparently one's in development.
