Pff, Anchorman's rubbish. Joining the absurd irony genre about 10 years too late.

*high-five*

So much terrible taste on one comedy forum.

Steve Carrell's another great comedy actor who's made some stinkers.

Don't leave me hanging.

David Carradine's last words.

True Dat. But he's more forgivable.

Topical?

Laughing out loud

Anchorman was "good", but only in the respect that it's the only watchable Ferrell-centric film ever made.

Zoolander was better, but he was shit in it.

Ferrell was good in that, I thought. Certainly not shit, anyway.

For me the comedian who's made the most great films would be Steve Martin. And most of them from earlier in his career.

Ben Stiller has probably appeared in the most 'good' comedy films out of the more recent comedy actors.

Almost all of them, he's probably made one really good comedy in the last twenty years. He was great in the eighties though.

Stiller, Blonde Stiller, Ferrel, Fat Vaughn, etc etc... are all good-funny people. But are they really (really) worthy of leading films? It's like if they were a side-kick, they would be the best darn, funniest, craziest side-kick ever but as a lead, there talents begin to stretch a little.

Stiller certainly is, as he's headlined several great ones, and been great in them.

Yes, Stiller's done some good work. Of the Brit comedy actors Simon Pegg's done the best film work.
