Hush.

I was talking to Shaun Of The Dead! (Ironically, I had intended to buy Sinister this week, watch it, and then give it my mom as a Mothers Day present as she likes spooky horror films. But I forgot. I'll get it for Christmas now instead, when it's been reduced. She's lucky to have me.)

Laughing out loud

Super 8

A weirdly dated cross between ET and The Goonies that has no good reason to exist.

I rather liked Super 8, but have never had the desire to watch it again.

It just felt like watching an 80s movie without the excuse of it having been made in the 80s. Obviously they were going for that kind of movie, but when you're making a nostalgic film you can't ignore all of the films made in the last 30 years in the hopes that the audience will do that too. I'm also really fed up with schmaltzy bullshit.

It's no Festen. I'll give you that.

Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps. I enjoyed it. Although as ever with financial films I understood bugger all of what was happening.

The word you're looking for is homage.

Skyline. What a right load of old tat. Looked quite good though.

I'm pretty sure the word I had in mind was 'garbage', but thanks for being patronising about it.

Try not to make it so easy for me. ;)

Considering it only cost about five pounds to make it does look great.

Welcome To The Punches trailer kinda reminds me of the trailers you'd see at the beginning of VHS tapes. I like that. It makes me feel all warm and fuzzy.
