'The Sorcerer's Apprentice' with Nicholas Cage. I'm a sucker for these films - always think I'll be able to do the magic.
I've just seen... Page 336
Harry Brown...jeez that London is rough.
Quote: lofthouse @ December 28 2012, 10:02 PM GMTGot an idiot abroad for Christmas
Never seen it before as I don't have sky
Watched the very first ep today (china)
It was quite entertaining
But I was lead to believe it sposed to be very funny??
Maybe it's just that ep but I didnt think it was particularly funny
And Karl can be quite rude at times
My dad bought series 1 and 2 for me this Christmas.
Karl is much funnier when Ricky and Steve are there with him, and getting in his face a bit more (XFm and podcasts). This usually makes him get flustered, and the comedy gold comes out.
On his own, he's still amusing, but without Ricky to wind him up like a toy, his nonsense is a bit neutered.
Not an unfunny series, but it has nothing on the XFm and podcast stuff.
Gremlins. Classic.

The Michael Caine thing? It's an efficient enough revenge film but it left a bit of a sour taste in my mouth. Too much like a Daily Mail readers wet dream for my liking.

Ah, Zach Galligan and Phoebe Cates. I wonder what ever happened to them.
Micheal Caine was great everything else was awful
'The Hunger Games'; which I was quite enjoying, until they actually get into the forest and start the game itself.
You reminded me to watch it too. I quite liked it! Even though they missed out so much stuff from the book.
been listening to "I, Partridge"
the CD audio version
a lot more enjoyable in this format than the book
which I found a little bit mediocre
Definitely, hearing him perform it adds much more depth to it.

It entertained but the whole thing felt a little underpowered to me. Which seems to be the case for most of these YA books. The need to write about boyfriends and feelings and stuff saps the energy.
Just watched Bedknobs and Broomsticks for the first time since I was a kid. Nazis, witches, undead knights defending Britain from German invasion, Dad's Army, this film is bat shit crazy.
Bat shit crazy or f**king awesome?

I'm gonna go for f**king awesome, but only because I'm imagining Angela Lansbury and the fat dude with the moustache going at it.

Gives a whole new meaning to the title.
