I've just seen... Page 333

I thought LOTR was brilliant all the way through - even watched the 12 hours (?)of extras. Very interesting and informative.

Doubt if I'll watch The Hobbit though........of all the people they could have got to play the main part it had to be the wooden Martin Freeman.

Oh dear. What a shame.

Wooden?

I'd love to see a really good version of some of Pratchett's stuff.

Maybe Guards, Guards, Guards or Small Gods.

Maybe someone could try and tackle a Robert Rankin book; it would be bonkers. And probably terrible.

Is he the guy who wrote the Portable Door and all the sequels?

I'd love to see those on the big screen. They're like Neil Gaiman and Ricki Gervaise got terribly stoned with Terry Pratchett and wrote a book.

Oh no, here's a website about him (Though it's not up to date):

It's Tom Holt I'm thinking of. I'm getting rather dull witted in my old age and prefer my fantasy humour to be a bit more staid, and normal.

That's what I said - in my opinion he cannot act for toffee. Ruined Hitchiker for me.

Think that was the writing's fault.

Maybe. He (Martin Freeman) was OK in The Office, sfter that I've seen little to change my opinion as to his acting skills.

Yeah, I wouldn't say he's the world's best actor. He's just one of many fairly unremarkable actors. The Office set him up for life really.

That film was a banquet of failure

Culminating in the leading part of a blockbuster.......... >_<

I like that......a banquet of failure.

I thought hitchhiker was ok

Don't know why everyone slags it

I mean Freeman was far too young for the part of Arthur

And Marvin looked ridiculous

But it was alright

Freeman's a perfectly fine actor, and from what I hear he's very good in Hobbit. And he was excellent in Sherlock. The really bad actor from The Office is the recptionist whose name I forget. Everything else I've seen her in she's been embarrassingly bad.
