Watched The Raid over the weekend. Not sure why it got so many good reviews, it was a bit boring and pants. The fight scenes were very well done but after watching 200 of them in a row, it became a bit of a grind.
Have film makers just given up on an actual story altogether? Desperate to watch a movie where things happen for a reason.
The Only Connect Final / 100th Episode. It did not disappoint, I now feel really thick.
Just been to see Skyfall on Saturday and The Hobbit in 3D on Sunday.

Red Lights. It wants to be Christopher Nolan circa The Prestige but isn't in the same class. Still very enjoyable hokum, though.

Lots of brilliant effects and loads of action. I don't think you'll be disappointed although you have to realise it's the first part of three.

I have seen it now. It's a lot better than that Avatar or Star Wars episodes cobblers (it has more warmth or heart). But I have to say: it "was more of the same". Same characters you know from the LOTR trilogy wandering about go through several adventures and learning something about friendship and faith. But again: I liked it and will surely watch the next two episodes.
P.S.: This time the 3D effects made even sense and weren't a waste of money as in Avatar.
The Hobbit. Enjoyable enough, but not a touch on LOTR.
Incidentally, I watched LotR: The Fellowship of the Ring last night and didn't fall asleep this time! It's not a bad film, I was quite surprised and pleased that Gandalf featured quite heavily as I couldn't watch a film entirely featuring those little big footed buggers. Not really bothered about the bits involving the orcs or whatever they were, found that bit boring.

Ha, we had that board game. None of us ever understood how the hell you were supposed to play it. One of those ridiculously over complicated ones. The board and stuff was all quite cool looking though.

Can't be bothered to read that, so here's one I didn't read either.
Hero Quest was easy peasy compared to Talisman, but this is probably the best card/board game of all time.
Bloody hell it was hard just posting it!
It is aces.
And here is the game board set out. You change historical events, which change other ones. And you keep going till the reality matches the version you need to win.
Sadly most people aren't smart or flexible minded enough to play it.
