Escape from New York. Dated REALLY badly. Wish I hadn't bothered.

I think it's one of those films that has a better reputation than it deserves. Still think it's fun, though. And oddly nostalgic, since they on The Twin Towers, don't they?

Also, Snake Plisken is a great character.

Snake Plisken... I heard he was dead?

I can't find one anywhere that looks like a sci-fi! Do you know what year it is from?

I suppose this proves that even those with apparent good taste can be wrong. Smarmy

It doesn't look like a sci-fi, set in normal looking world; Keira Knightley is in it. It's okay, but no Escape From New York!

2010 or 2011 its very low key scifi like about cloning and morality and shit like that.

I had to convince Dan not to turn it off halfway through. Snake Plisken is the most lazily written anti-hero I have even seen. There was a decent amount of cowbell though, you know in the soundtrack that didn't make any sense in context of what was happening at any point.

Keira Knightly. Pass!

nb don't see Sucker Punch about one of the worst films I've ever seen.

No! She's dead good in it and it's got the new Spide Man in it.

I was staying with a friend of a friend at Edinburgh last year and he rented that and Your Highness. Out of politeness I was compelled to watch both. One of the longest evenings of my life.

THIS I agree with. I was extremely disappointed with it, its like someone with a vague idea of what steampunk and anime and thought they'd give it a crack with Daddy's money. Worst ever.

Precisely.

Oh you poor, poor man. There's a helpline for people who've been through that horrid experience.
