I've just seen... Page 281

You have a better memory than me! Who was Kent Pete again?

I sometimes think they are still amongst us.

I dunno. I just saw his name on a thread the other day and for some reason think he riled you right up.

Huh. Maybe I've blocked him out.

Cowboys and Aliens. Bloody good.

:O

It was terrible. Honestly Nat, you won me over with your liking of Blade Runner, but now my faith in your film reviews has hit an all time low.

I am currently watching Attack The Block.
It is a bit weird that they have made the protagonists horrible little c**ts with no redeeming features. But I'm sticking with it.

"Kent Pete" came back as "Norman Wisdom".

Finally got round to seeing Attack The Block.

I so hated the hoodie gang from the start, that I spent most of the time rooting for the aliens.

:D

Have things become so PC these days.
That we actually root for the Alien Invaders?
It wasn't like that when Star Wars came out.

Oh hush, it was a big cheesy cheese fest, but it was dead fun. Admittedly, I guessed every part of the story before it happened, but it totally fulfilled my need for aliens and explosions. Plus what more do you expect from a movie named Cowboys and Aliens? Cowboys, check. Aliens, check. 'Good' was perhaps giving it too much credit, but it was decent watching. I won't feel the need to see it again, but I don't think I wasted a couple of hours.

Garth Marenghi now. Champion.

To quote myself from the other day,

People who slag off others for enjoying films like Ghost or Pretty Woman, I have to feel sorry for them. I don't think they ever truly enjoy films because they're so uptight. What a f**king bore. It's fair ewnough if you don't like the two examples mentioned but just f**king take off your critics hat and enjoy a movie for once. Not everything has to be arthouse bullshit. Weekend At Bernies is a lovely way to spend a few hours.

I know Joe Cornish was inspired to make the film after being mugged himself, so maybe he wanted to show how even if they saved us from an alien invasion, we should still hate muggers.

Ha. I did warm to them slightly at the very end.
