Babel. I thought it was going to be pretentious twaddle and expected to hate it, but apart from a scene where a chicken gets its neck rung, it was pretty good.
I've just seen... Page 206
Just watched Never Let Me Go again, it's quite brilliant.
Best film of last couple of years,
The Guard -- really really funny. Brendan Gleason is top.

Excellent call. Top film.
I can heartily recommend 'Timecrimes'. The 90 minutes watching the flick flew by, as did the 3 hours I spent on the IMDB forum trying to understand it
Attack The Block. Not bad.

There's a great short film on the The Nines DVD called God too, about a woman who regularly chats to God on the phone but then falls out with him.

Timecrimes is great. Fun yet really makes you think at the same time.

Timecrimes is fantastic. I will add The Nines to the list of films I should see but will possibly never get round to.
Timecrimes is brilliant; I remember reading that a Tom Cruise starring remake was in the offing, though I haven't heard anything since so maybe that's been dropped now. (Of course a U.S. remake would replace the pudgy lead man with someone like Cruise.)

David Cronenberg was in the running to direct the remake at one point, although I think that all fell through.
Seen Attack the Block and Super 8 this weekend- both pretty enjoyable alien action movies. Attack the Block was my favourite of the two.
Watching Submarine. Great so far, I love the 'feel'.
Oh yes I really enjoyed that.

I look forward to another offering from Joe Cornish.
A Bittersweet Life. Violent South Korean gangster film. Great fun.
Sucker Punch.
I went into with absolutely no idea what it was about. I hadn't seen any trailers, read any reviews or anything.
Truly a WTF movie.
I can't decide whether it's fantastic or just dire, dire, dire.
It's like they just decided just to cram in as much awesome as possible and f**k the story.
Gangsters? Check. Dragons? Check. Steampunk Nazi zombies? Check. Mecha-warriors? Check. Giant samurais with mini-guns? Check.
Mental.
