I've just seen... Page 20

Sexy Beast.
(Been catching up on some old movies I've never seen)
Good movie, some great performances in that one.

Withnail & I next

You've never seen Withnail And I?! Egads!

That's nothing, I've never seen Flubber! :O

Finally got around to watching Inglorious Basterds and really enjoyed it. Couldn't quite fathom what Ryan from The Office and the ventriloquist kid from Freaks and Geeks were doing in it though. And that Eli Roth is just dreadful, isn't he?

Yeah, those two don't add a whole heap. And Roth is no actor, I've no idea why someone as seemingly astute actor wise as Tarantino would cast him. Odd.

I remember going to the pictures to watch that. The Robin Williams version, that is.

Good, another (all too rare) person who still refers to them as "pictures" as opposed to "films" or (far worse) "movies". Pleased

I don't often go to the cinema.

Did the magic die for you when they brought in these awful 'talkies'?

Glaven!

Apocolypto.
Didn't think I'd like it, but it was very good.

Yes, it's very exciting. I enjoyed it a lot.

I just climbed a Mayan temple the other day - the type where they make the decapitations in the movie. From consistently steering every word of wisdom the tour guide had to offer to the subject of a Mel Gibson movie I learned that the human sacrifices actually took place on plinths on the ground and that 90% of what happens in Apocalypto is utter bull. Good film though.

90% of what happens in Apocalypto is utter bull.

I'd change it to: "90% of what happens in every film is utter bull" :)

United 93?

Nowhere near as good as the first Airplane...

I went to see Alice in Wonderland on Sunday.

Very good - I'd recommend it to anyone.
