The Commitments.
I was a bit dissapointed to see them all ending up drinking & fighting.
As that's not the Ireland I know, although I've never been.
Oh & Definitely Maybe
I quite enjoyed it.

That romcom thingy?
Yeah.
I did enjoy it.
If that makes me a Rom Commie then God help me, but I stand by it.
Hehe. It was alright. I just totally misunderstood the concept and for the whole film thought the kid didn't know and had never met her mum, rather than just didn't know the history of their relationship.
So the real plot was kind of a let down.
I used to like that film, not sure if I'd enjoy it as much now though. I dunno why?
It's not one I'd watch again.
*Ponders about a Films you'd want to watch again thread to get the party started
*Counters it with a Films you'd only watch once thread.

Happiness by Todd Solondz.
I've just remembered the film I did watch recently that is in a current decade.
Hall Pass
I really liked it. especially Steve Merchant being in it.
Before anyone tells me it's rubbish I vaguely point to all the other rubbish comedy movies that are around.
Saw Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows at the cinema this afternoon...brilliant, my daughter's the big fan or Potterhead as she likes to call herself! but hats off to the whole Potter books and film series, thouroughly enjoyable.
The last film I saw (at home) was the new Transformers movie. I watched it on my projector so home cinema counts, right?
It was meh... usual sfx crap, but not insulting to my eyes.
To be honest, Unbreakable put me off ever paying to see a film again.
If the cops come get me, I'll blame M. Night Shyamalan for my rampant piracy.
I thought Unbreakable was pretty good. Made back when M. Night Shymalan seemed such a promising young director.
Gandhi. The only DVD I've ever seen with it's own intermission. 5 minutes of black screen with Indian music playing in the background.
Excellent!

It was! Although I did feel a bit tittish sitting there staring at a black screen for five minutes. Why didn't I just fast forward???
