Nor No Country For Old Men.

It really was, and dramatic. Comedy is ingrained in almost all of their stuff. Even Country, with it's scary bad guy,who as well as being scary, was absurd and funny.

Some are dramas heavy on the comedy, some are comedies with a smattering of drama.

So then we agree!

No, because the implication of your ridiculous post was that anything with funny stuff in is a comedy.

Well if you're going to be a dick, consider me out of the conversation.

No wonder you have a beard, to protect that delicate thin girlie skin!

Vampires Suck, yet another atrociously bad spoof movie. This Movie Sucks would have been a better title. Co-starred one of the guys from The Drew Carey Show, not Ryan Stiles but the other one. Only two laughs. Two good songs over the closing credits though.

To be fair, I can't imagine any sane person sitting down and thinking Vampires Suck would be a good film.

You don't have a very strong imagination then. To be unfair though, I was lying down and had been hopeful that Vampires Suck might be up there with Scary Movie and Not Another Teen Movie in the Spoof Movie Hall of Fame. Sadly it wasn't. Imagine that.

Crazy In Alabama. Battered wife decapitates husband, goes to Hollywood, and ends up an extra on Bewitched. Not great, although Melanie Griffith's bizarre lippage is hypnotic.

The Spoof Movie Hall of fame hasn't changed since Hot Shots & the first two Naked Gun movies
The one's they churn out these days are so awful.

What about the Austin Powers trilogy? Or even Shaun of the Dead/Hot Fuzz? Could they be seen as part of the Spoof family?

Good point, I wasn't thinking of things like Shaun of the Dead. more the Airplane or Mel Brooks type movies.

Austin Powers was ok at first but I wouldn't put it in any hall of fame.

If we don't, it's going to be a pretty bare hall.

Haha, that's pretty much what I was thinking.

The only good spoof I've seen in a while is the one of Boyz N the Hood.

Maybe this topic needs it's own thread.
But can how can we also make it into a game or quiz of somekind?

:D At least you're displaying rudimentary self-awareness these days, Sunshine.
