I don't think so, Gav. On reflection I thought it was meh.

Meh is a really generous review.

I'm not a comic book type and perhaps that's the reason SP didn't much appeal to me - I found it too style-heavy. I do think, in general, it's all well and good for writers/directors to load a movie with a lot of references, but if you're going to engage a mass audience you have to make a film with a story and script which is accessible to the uninitiated. Both 'Shaun' and 'Fuzz' succeed at this.

No, it's a great film, I loved it.

No it's not because your not a comic book type. It's because it's a terrible film with 1d characters, over active intrusive FX. Self indulgent tosh.

Yes, but it seems you hate almost all films and TV shows Gav, good or bad!
Cemetery Junction.
Slighter than I was expecting, but it was okay.
Doomsday. I know it's not as good as Neil Marshall's previous films, The Descent and Dog Soldiers, but it's still a lot of derivative fun. And Rhina Motri is very easy on the eye.
Quote: chipolata @ February 19 2011, 9:56 PM GMTderivative fun.
I'd love to see that on a movie poster one day.
'See what the critics are saying about Big Momma's House 3...
..."derivative fun!"
..."fat suits feature prominently!"
..."a financially-viable film franchise!"'

Has there ever been a good film featuring a fat suit?
Bridget Jones.
Quote: zooo @ February 19 2011, 10:12 PM GMTBridget Jones.
Were there fat suits in that or was that a rare zooo joke?
It was an extreeeemely rare zooo joke.
Enjoy.
