Ok, Ok, Ok last test! Any improvements after running it through Audacity (something else I need to learn) Pleased

Cheers! :D

Yes, that's much better. :)

Re: the origional question, I record every line at least five times, to ensure a good take, then I edit it together into one single track, however using an extra track would be fine to, often I find it helpfull if the beat is to quick to add the extra one or two. all these guys pretty much nailed it with their replys, but, I thought I'd have my ten pennies.

I use audacity, it's free and easy to use =]

Laughing out loud I just watched your "Dick Eye" series I thought they were pure gold! Did you ever post the script for it? If you did can I see it?
P.S. If your computer has a mic, you may want to try it instead. The mic you're using right now is ramped up to high I think. I had a hard time understanding it.

Use Flash I just tried doing multi layering in anime Pro what a f**king nightmare.

Have all you audio edited then put it into Anime as a sound track. Stupid really.

RE: Lip Synch. I don't use the auto lip synch anymore but I did use it for about a year when I first started. It's not bad. Nowadays I just scrub along the animation and best guess what the mouth shapes should be. My lip synching isn't great but good enough for me.

Usually if the audio is quiet I find it's because I just didn't speak loudly enough into the mic during recording. I don't understand recording volumes but maybethat's set low on your PC too, check control panel, maybe something in there?!?? You can amplify the audio but you get that background hissing sound.

There's a free program called wavepad, it's like audacity. It has a feature called Stereo-Pan which will make the sound come out of both speakers equally. That might help too but I don't think it's proper stereo, whatever that is.

Keep up the good work!!

Cheers guys!

No speaker on the computer, don't think it would be great to use if there was anyway.

Gav, I'd use Flash, but I wanted the simplest/quickest way to get something recorded and done.

The microphone isn't great, but I think it's as good as any standard mic, I just need to find the right settings/levels.

Thanks everyone and thanks Curt, no script just knocked it out :)

I really did feel a tit doing it Pleased

Anyone link to any decent *free* tutorials? I can only find odds and sods dotted around the main forum and Google searches.

Still can't figure out what or really how to utilize the 'Switch Layers'. Where do these come in useful? :$

Just figured out through trial & error how to do a simple animation. Was about to throw computer out of window just before it I cracked it.

Papagayo is a f**king annoying! Spent ages lining everything up, only for it to snap back to the start with no undo :(

...What are you doing?

Never mind, I figured it out.

I'm just practising with the different tools.

*shoots self*

So I made the lip-sync file in Papagayo, using one of the example mouths. Saved it, and now trying to get it into ASP. *cries* Why can't it import?!!

FUCK! Angry

Teary

Found the fudging tutorials - Yay!

I'm too drunk to organise it now :) but PM me your email in the morning and I'll send you one of my Anime files where the character is talking and it's all done through lip synch/switch layers, then you can take a looksee.

Nice one Shoeman! :D
