Keith Floyd - RIP

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/8256260.stm

They say death comes in 3's. At least his body will be well preserved...exactly as Floyd would've wanted it.

The guy was a mad genius in his day, loved watching his programmes. He was a fave of mine, the daddy of TV chefs. Very charismatic and enjoyed a slurp of vino when he was doing his shows, and he did some great ones all over the world. A great man. RIP.

Oops wrong forum. Meant to post this in the general.

Weird, wasn't there a program on about him last night, with Keith Allen?

RIP

Yes.

I better watch myself when mine comes on later in the year.

He was a mad as a bag of spanners though wasn't he!

Spooky Huh?

RIP Mr. Keith

Floyd was one of only two so-called "celebrity chefs" who did not irritate me. Three if I include Mr T as a celebrity chef, as he currently stars in some infomercials being screened on Australian TV for a cooking gadget.

I remember he said he regretted some of his on-camera drinking, although that was what I liked about him, his joie de vivre. He was one of those real characters which TV is getting short of.

RIP mr Floyd.

Never took to Floyd who struck me as an obnoxious alcoholic whose talent for opening restaurants was not matched by his ability to honour his debts, which is why I think he ended up living abroad.

Well I wouldn't have called him obnoxious.

Passionate definitely, lived life to the full, quite eccentric at times.

R.I.P. Keith.

Not once did I see him cook without fish and/or garlic.

Vile.

Yum.

His food never inspired me, but his drinking did. :)

He was very watchable.

Please tell me that you think fish and garlic are 'vile' and not KF RIP

Fish and garlic. He was a bit weird, and freaky for using nothing else, but seemed alright as far as (on screen) personality goes.

Can we get all of the cooking / drinking / cremation jokes going out of the way please?

Though if I was a cannibal, aged beef soaked in red wine does sound tempting.

Having seen him on the telly with Keith Allen last night, I would just like to pay my respects by saying RIP, you daft c**t.
